Power On

This photo was taken for March's competition over at Masters of Photography; Theme: Macro: Household Items. Computers are becoming more and more a household item, and everyone here on flickr obviously has access to one, so I decided to use my computer for my entry. You can see the full thing on this photo.

The photo was taken with a Canon 50mm f/1.8 and three Kenko extension tubes attached: a 12mm, a 20mm, and a 36mm (not easy to focus with all three stacked).

Tremendo el detalle! Casi que uno siente la textura metalica del boton.
De verdad que no se como hiciste pa' enfocar tan bien con ese poco de tubos puestos. El propio francotirador, armando y desarmando todo ese vainero! =)

Great Focus! I really love it how you controlled the depth of field so that the center "Power" button is the only thing in focus. Very nice!

Lee, it really is a fantastic lens, we both know it ;) thanks!!

Paul, en verdad me costo bastante enfocar con el poco de tubos, fueron varios intentos pero a la final me gusto el resultado. Gracias por pasar (=

Mike, yes they are! you should try them when you get a change. Thanks dude.

Thanks laszlofromhalifax & chrisjw, I appreciate the comments.

If I am not mistaken this is a Mac on off button. I am a recent convert to Mac and am still learning, fantastic computers. Nice crisp and clear macro, I think I can see finger prints there! Cool looking kit on the norm photo.

Very nice choisce of subject matter. I like the dof, it makes it hard to see if you took this shot from the left or right. The tricky perspective is great.

Love how narrow the focus is. Great tone overall and the texture of the button is nicely pronounced.

So close! I really like the incredibly narrow depth of field, and it's placed in just the right plane. Awesome work!
